My Disney Version of tales with the Disney-Formula

Now as you might notice....the films from the Disney Renaissance had used this kind of Disney formula on their films.

• Some female characters are princesses (royal-born or not)
• There are supporting characters (sidekicks). Henchmen/Minions included.
• They have songs in the movies.
• There is a villain in there.
• The main characters have a family.

That's all I can think of at the moment. Let’s imagine if my Disney versions of said tales/fairytales were following the Renaissance formula or not.

Now let's see what Disney elements my versions have:

The Snow Queen - The main characters (including the royal siblings & the robber girl) are children between 8-9 years old. Kai & Gerda both have mothers & fathers. There are three animal sidekicks. The main antagonist is a middle-aged man named Jorgen. The titular character in this version is named Sigrid and is protagonistic.

The Wild Swans - The main character is an 11 year old Princess named Elisa. There is a 13 year old prince named Dirk and he has a male companion named Jack (Dirk’s sidekick).

The Swineherd - The main characters are Nathan (in my version, could be an actual swineherd and later a prince) & Julia (the 11 year old princess who starts out spoiled at first...but later starts warming up to the boy she would be in love with and the kind villagers). There is a surprise villain in the story.

Thumbelina - The titular character is a young little preteen named Thumbelina (Lina). There would be a pixie-prince named Jeremy. There is an animal villain in this version...which in this case...is a peregrine-falcon.

The Princess and the Pea - The main character is a 11 year old village girl named Danielle. She has a sidekick (a female human friend named Emma). The male main character is a prince named Christian.

The Tinderbox - The main character is a young 13 year old boy named Anders and he has a family consisting of his mother and his younger 7-8 year old sister named Adeline. Another main character is the young, kind & brave 11 year old princess named Cassandra. She has both parents: (King Aaron & Queen Ophelia) There is a villain named Mordecai (who at first serves as a loyal man to the king, but then wants to take control of everyone around him). The film is with a more grander scale. 

The Nightingale - The main character is a 10 year old girl named Chun Xiu and she has a family consisting of a mother, father, uncle & younger sister. It’s with a grander & epic scale. The main antagonist is a warlock with sorcery named Guozhi. There would be a love interest for Chun Xiu: A 10 year old boy named Ping Han, who is another main character.

Red Riding Hood - The titular character (Roux) is an 8 year old girl. Roux would have a love interest for Roux....which the other main protagonist is a 9 year old boy named Leon. The large black wolf named ”Edon” is the main antagonist, while the grey wolf named Lobo, is protagonistic. Roux has a family consisting of a mother, father & grandparents (her mother’s parents).

Hansel & Gretel - Both titular characters are children around 8-9 years old, Hansel being the oldest. There would be a love interest for Hansel, specifically the 8 year old girl named Frieda. The old lady is protagonistic in this version....while the villain role goes to a german man named Rainer. Hansel & Gretel have both parents: a father & an actual & more kinder mother.

Bella & Rosey - Both titular characters are 9 year old twin sisters with a different haircolor & outfit-color.

The Six Swans - Like ”The Wild Swans”, the main female character is a 11 year old princess. In this, her name is Celestia.

Goldilocks - The main character is a young 8 year old girl named Goldie.

Harvey & Sophia - The titular characters are siblings. The older 15 year old brother named Harvey and the younger 8 year old sister named Sophia.

The Frog Prince - The main character are: Natalie (the young 11 year old princess) & Carl (the 14 year old prince who got cursed and was transformed into a frog by a magician named Ruth).
